Darcie is a compassionate and creative therapist with a unique blend of
experience in both education and mental health. Since 2003, she has focused on collaborative treatment for complex trauma, utilizing IFS-informed EMDR, Attachment Theory, Polyvagal Theory, Play Therapy, and Mindfulness. Her expertise spans working with children, adolescents, and adults facing challenges like complex trauma, dissociative disorders, ADHD, Autism, depression, and anxiety.
With a BA in Elementary Education and a master’s degree in social work from The University of Iowa, Darcie began her career as a kindergarten teacher before transitioning to the mental health field. She initially worked at a non-profit agency for adolescents before moving into the private sector in 2008.
Darcie is an EMDRIA-approved Certified EMDR Therapist and Consultant,
specializing in child therapy and providing training for other therapists in IFS-informed EMDR. She co-owns Integrated Community Therapists (ICT) with a talented group of women and is dedicated to supporting local non-profits.
In her personal time, Darcie enjoys hiking, traveling, and reading. She shares her loving home with her spouse, two kids, and two grand pugs, embodying her playful and nurturing spirit.
