Alyssa Palante, LMSW

Alyssa Palante, LMSW (she/ella) believes in the power of owning our stories. As a therapist, she strives to cultivate an atmosphere conducive to storytelling. She earned her master’s degree from the University of Iowa School of Social Work in May 2023, building upon over ten years of professional experience in Southwest Texas, Ecuador, and her home state of Iowa. Alyssa has extensive experience collaborating with people and communities facing barriers in the educational, medical, and criminal-legal systems.

Most recently, she has been honored to work with individuals who are immigrants, BIPOC, LGBTQIA+, and neurodivergent, ages adolescent and up. Her therapeutic practice is rooted in authenticity and unconditional positive regard, centering client needs and pulling from IFS, CBT, mindfulness, and other modalities to support them in achieving their goals.

Alyssa lives in Iowa City with her family and enjoys walking her dogs, listening to podcasts, or catching some WNBA in her free time.
